Haven't had the opportunity to see any of the newer skinner's stuff, but it was really cool seeing the names of the folks who've been around forever are still favs of many.

Favorite WB skinners, off the top of my head and I know I'm missing folks....adni18, Pixtudio, essorant, Mormegil, SkinPlant, bubbabyte, Apocalypse_67, Z71....way too many to remember and list!!

Here's a tip: Go to any section, like Windowblinds for example, and sort the skins by earliest uploaded, and work your way through them to the present.
I think you will be surprised at the quality and style of the early skins, even though they might not have all the features of newer skins.
You will see that the pioneers of skinning had class style and talent, and the one's that are still around are truly at the top of their game. (And it's fun to look at some of the early skins too!)

Winamp - Jafo made a great skin some years ago and I've still got it somewhere!!!!

It's taken around 9 years....but finally 'recognition'....yay....

Kona ....old-school sometimes means primitive...as modern skinnables are more intricate/advanced and comparatively hold more 'wow-factor'.

Back 'in the day', the early skins were equally 'WOW'...
